Did you know that....If present consumption patterns continue, two out of every three people will live in water-stressed conditions by 2025 (UNEP)

According to a recent report by the WWF, one of the greatest ways we can decrease the impact of our water consumption (beyond conserving water, turning off the tap when brushing teeth, whilst shampooing hair etc) is to avoid food waste.

How are you all? Sorry I don't get around as often as I used to, but I've been busy with tons of work, a new love life and watching the world economy tank. Je parles francais chaque mardi et elke donderdag spreek ik Nederlands :) This leaves very little time for English ;)

Hope you're well.

I have been one to conserve and worry about water long before it became an actual issue.
we waste so much of it here in arizona; i fear it will be near disaster before people hear watch their water use.

My mother used to really worry about water. She knew how precious this is and that was loooooooong before it became an issue.

Elke Donderdag spreek je dus Nederlands? Mooi zo. Doorzetten.

lol

as a child i was already taught to conserve water ..
it's a precious resource ..
i'm worried about the fact that the availability of clean water is landing in the hands of monopolies.

Well, the Bush Plan of using CNG and E85 to run vehicles won't help much. both methods of fuel production consumes a LOT of water.

You know, for what it's worth, I do believe the water supply IS limited.
I actually go outside to pee.

Not a joke, that's my take on it.
No way am i using three gallons of water to flush a half cup.

Other water saving ideas, put a brick in ther tank behind your toilet. Uses less water that way (we have two)
If you have to boil water for cooking, keep the pan covered as much as possible.

....so? the next 'idol' contestant?

:::sigh::: If we get saddled with McCain for four years, he'll probably start a war with Canada to steal the water. That's the American Way: take what others have by force.

The area of the US that I live in has been in a severe drought for two years now. I think climate change along with consumption will bring about water-stressed conditions sooner than 2025.

Speaking of water stressed, time for a potty break...
